Volunteers
• Global Village Store is run by volunteers.
• There are about 35 volunteers on the list who usually work one 4-hour shift per week. Two volunteers work each shift in a calm and happy atmosphere.
• Some volunteers have been with the store for the whole 35 years, others for just a few months. They range in age from 16 to 85.
• Once volunteers have worked for some time, they may be trained to do purchasing or other tasks, or join the Board of Directors.
• Board members order products, undertake pricing sessions, dispense grants, and coordinate community outreach work.
